Andrade Andrade, CA Show Andrade on map! · Andrade: Andrade is the location of the Port of Entry into the United States from Los Algodones, Mexico. The border station is located within the boundaries of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation on property belonging to the Quechan Tribe just west of the Alamo Canal and the Colorado River.This land port of entry is used primarily by pedestrians from the United States wishing to shop or avail themselves of medical services in Algondones. The Quechan Tribe maintains a large parking lot on the United States side that serves this trade.

Deactivated at the end of WWII, the Air Force took over in 1951 calling it first the Yuma Air Base, and later renaming it as Vincent Air Force Base in 1956. The Navy took over the base in 1959 as the Marine Corps Auxiliary Air Station, changing to a full fledged Marine Corps Air Station in 1962. Today MCAS Yuma is home to many Marines and their families. Sharing runways with the Yuma County International Airport, MCAS Yuma is the location of the Annual Yuma Air Show.

The proving ground's land mass amounts to about 20 percent of Yuma County. Approximately 450 people reside in housing at the proving ground. Each winter the U.S. Army Parachute Team, The Golden Knights come to YPG for annual training.
