Mexico blames U.S. for problems.
« on: April 04, 2009, 06:44:23 AM »
For years we have been hearing how it is the market for drugs that drives the smugglers to bring drugs onto American soil, so therefore it is Americas fault, as Americans cause the demand for drugs that are so readily available in Mexico. Recently Mexico has said the gun violence in Mexico is a result of the gun laws in America making it so easy to purchase a weapon here and smuggle it into Mexico. The demand for guns in Mexico is enourmous, so now it is not demand that is the problem but instead the supply.

If the demand for drugs is the problem in America, then the demand for guns must be the problem in Mexico. Conversely, if the easy access to weapons in America is the issue, then Mexico's inability to control drug trafficking must also be an issue. It seems that Mexico will argue both sides of the argument as long as America and Americans are the bad guys. The sad part is that Homeland Security chief Napolitano is buying into this propaganda and will spend millions in an effort to keep American guns from reaching Mexico. So it seems that Mexico has no need to protect their own borders from smuggling efforts in either direction, it is all left up to America to deal with. When these efforts fail, then Mexico will once again lay all the blame on America.
