Circuit City turns back on customer service!

Big box Electronics retailer Circuit City found that approximately 8% of their workforce were working hard, getting good performance reviews, and thereby providing good service to their customers. This week, Circuit City gathered these outstanding employees at each store and advised them of the corporate policy to good employees. Each of these employees was advised that they were being FIRED in recognition of the fact that they worked so hard.

Yuma venues for music, sports, and other crowd pleasers.

There is no doubt about it! Yuma suffers from a lack of venues for small to large events. Musical acts and promoters complain about it. Local sports and music fans complain about it. In fact there has been a clamoring for the local government to do something about it.

Stewart Vincent Wolfe Memorial Playground

I am really impressed with the Stewart Vincent Wolfe Memorial Playground. My grandson really thinks the place is great. The work performed to create the states largest playground for children is to be commended.

S.B. 1542 attempts to stifle teachers.

After taking Democratic House Representative Sinema to task for stupidity in HB2286, it now seems to fair to look at the Republican Senator from District 22, Thayer Verschoor, and his Senate Bill 1542. This bill purports to stop the advocacy by public school teachers of political opinions, but goes much further than that. In fact it keeps teachers from advocating a position on any social, political, or cultural issue that is a matter of partisan controversy.

New airport scanners show all! TSA peep show!

Well I see that PHX now has their new backscatter scanners up and running. These scanners are able to see through clothes and display high detail images of a body. Due to privacy concerns, it seems software degradations that supposedly will keep the most intimate details from being apparent are included.
